BREAKFAST AT SEA

Breakfast at Sea: Why Couples Are Drawn to Romance in the Middle of the Ocean

Written By Kendesi Mohammed

There is a particular intimacy that comes from beginning the day surrounded by open water. Far from traffic, schedules, and crowded dining rooms, the ocean creates a natural sense of calm and privacy. For many couples, breakfast served at sea has become a symbol of escape, connection, and shared experience rather than simple indulgence.

Overwater villas and floating bungalows in destinations such as the Maldives, Bora Bora, and Fiji have helped define this trend. These accommodations allow couples to wake above turquoise lagoons and enjoy breakfast delivered by boat or served on private decks. The quiet rhythm of waves beneath the floor and the uninterrupted horizon create an atmosphere that encourages unhurried conversation and reflection.

Private yachts and sailboats offer another interpretation of oceanfront dining. Anchored miles from shore, couples share morning meals with nothing in sight but water and sky. The appeal lies less in extravagance and more in exclusivity. Watching the sun rise while sharing coffee on deck turns an ordinary routine into a moment of lasting significance.

In many tropical regions, floating breakfast platforms and rafts have become increasingly popular. Positioned just above the water, these settings often provide views of marine life swimming below. The closeness to the sea adds a sense of novelty and wonder, transforming breakfast into an immersive experience that feels both playful and intimate.

More adventurous couples opt for remote sandbank or open water breakfasts reached by boat or seaplane. These temporary dining setups offer total seclusion, sometimes placing couples on small stretches of land surrounded entirely by shallow ocean. With few distractions, the focus shifts fully to the shared moment, reinforcing the emotional value of the experience.

At its core, breakfast in the middle of the ocean reflects a growing desire to slow down. In a world shaped by constant motion and digital noise, these settings offer couples a rare opportunity to be present with each other. The romance is not defined by luxury alone, but by the simplicity of shared time, quiet surroundings, and memories shaped by nature rather than routine.

OUR OWN

Stop Playing Their Game. It’s Time to Build Our Own.

Written By Kendesi Mohammed

I agree that the system needs fixing, but we do not have to play their games. We are talented, spiritually wealthy, and full of options. Our issue is that we keep playing someone else’s game instead of designing our own. Then we turn around and blame the white man, Chinese man, Indian man, or Hispanic man when a system that was never built for us does not work in our favor.

God blessed us with an enormous amount of talent and resources. Yet every other group seems to benefit from what we produce. We cannot blame anyone for using us to take care of their own people. That is what every group does. Our responsibility is to come together and start taking care of our own people.

The truth is, the system does not have to be fair. This is war, whether we like it or not, and I understand that. We live in a world where we believe that simply because we let everyone in, they are supposed to think, feel, and act the same way we do. That is not reality.

Black people are the kings and queens of Mother Earth, and every other ethnicity knows this. That is why we were used to build nations, fight wars, and create global industries. It is time for us to wake up, stop blaming others, and start playing our own game.

We have to get along, work together, and find new ways to operate in a cactus society. We are not victims. We are survivors. If we are valuable to others, why do we not see that value in ourselves? That is the real question. It is time for change. It is time for us to do better, think smarter, and build systems that truly serve us.

Why It’s Important to Live Your Best Life Now

Written By Kendesi Mohammed

Life has a way of convincing us that there will always be more time. More time to travel, more time to love deeply, more time to chase dreams, and more time to become the person we know we are meant to be. But the truth is simple and often uncomfortable: the only moment we are guaranteed is now. Living your best life today is not about reckless choices or ignoring responsibility. It is about intentional living, clarity of purpose, and refusing to postpone joy.

Living your best life now means honoring the present instead of constantly waiting for the “perfect” moment. Many people delay happiness until they earn more money, find the right partner, move to a better city, or reach a certain age. In doing so, they sacrifice years of potential growth, love, and fulfillment. Progress happens in motion, not in waiting. When you choose to live fully now, you allow life to meet you where you are and evolve with you.

Time is the most valuable resource we have, yet it is also the most wasted. Money can be replaced, opportunities can be recreated, and relationships can be repaired, but time once gone is gone forever. Living your best life now means investing your time wisely in things that matter: family, health, purpose, faith, creativity, and meaningful work. It is choosing experiences and impact over fear and excuses.

Living fully in the present also strengthens mental and emotional health. Regret is often born from inaction, not failure. Most people do not regret trying and falling short; they regret never trying at all. When you give yourself permission to live boldly now, you reduce the weight of “what if” and replace it with lessons, memories, and growth. Even mistakes become valuable when they are part of a life lived with intention.

Another reason to live your best life now is that your example matters. Whether you are a parent, a leader, an artist, or a friend, people are watching how you move through life. Living authentically gives others permission to do the same. When you pursue your purpose, take care of your health, love openly, and stand firmly in your values, you inspire those around you to step into their own potential.

Living your best life now does not mean life will be perfect. It means choosing alignment over comfort and purpose over procrastination. It means doing the work, having the hard conversations, and taking the first step even when the full path is not clear. Growth does not require perfection; it requires commitment.

Ultimately, living your best life now is an act of self-respect. It is a declaration that your life is valuable, your dreams are valid, and your time matters. The future is shaped by the decisions you make today. If you want a life filled with meaning, freedom, and fulfillment, the best time to start living it is not tomorrow, not next year, but right now.

Faith, Time, and the Inevitable Justice of God

Written By Kendesi Mohammed

Never tell yourself that you are not powerful or that nothing around you can change. Instead, place your faith in God. You may not be able to change the system today, but change will come. History proves this again and again.

At one point, Pharaoh believed God’s people belonged to him, yet Moses led them out of slavery. At another time, pilgrims believed the Indigenous people of the Americas belonged to them simply because they were welcoming and kind. Today, that reality has changed.

There was a time when we were not allowed to eat in the same restaurants, vote in elections, or sit at the front of the bus. Those days are no longer our reality. Change happened because truth, faith, and perseverance cannot be silenced forever.

The people who committed acts of human cruelty are now recorded in history. Their actions are studied, documented, and judged by time. Their children and grandchildren must confront that history, seeing the statues, bridges, and buildings that carry those names. Many now hide from or deny what their ancestors did, because truth is uncomfortable when it exposes injustice.

I am not calling for the African diaspora to take action against anyone. God teaches that if one part of the body commits sin, it must be removed so the whole body is not condemned. I leave that responsibility to Europeans and to those who still believe Black people are inferior, untalented, or somehow still enslaved.

Let God be the judge.

My role is simply to communicate with my brothers and sisters across the earth to remind us of the direction we must take, the discipline we must have, and the distance we must keep from evil deeds. We must push ourselves toward righteousness, truth, and purpose, trusting that God’s justice is never late.

Belief When No One Else Does

Written By Kendesi Mohammed

Just because someone does not believe in you does not mean you should stop believing in yourself.

Skepticism from others is rarely an accurate measure of potential. More often, it reflects fear, limited perspective, or an inability to imagine outcomes beyond personal experience. Throughout history, individuals who went on to create lasting change were doubted, dismissed, and told their ambitions were unrealistic. What separated them from the rest was not universal support, but unwavering self-belief.

Believing in oneself is an act of self-respect. It sustains people when encouragement is absent, opportunities are delayed, and systems appear unresponsive. Progress is rarely linear, and approval rarely precedes achievement. In most cases, recognition follows results.

The lack of belief from others can become a crucible. It forces clarity of purpose, resilience under pressure, and independence of thought. When validation is withheld, conviction must come from within.

In the end, belief is not proven by words but by persistence. Those who continue despite doubt do more than defy expectations. They redefine them.

FAITH OVER FORCE

Faith Over Force: How Belief in God Guided Black Liberation

 Written By Kendesi Mohammed

For Black people, freedom was not just won through war. Faith in God carried us through slavery, giving hope, courage, and strength when the world tried to strip us of our dignity.

The Black church became a sanctuary. Spirituals and hymns were more than songs; they were messages of hope and freedom. Leaders like Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman trusted God to guide their steps, leading people from bondage to liberation.

Faith fueled the Civil Rights Movement. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks showed that belief in justice and nonviolence could change laws and hearts. Prayer, perseverance, and moral courage became tools of revolution.

From slavery to civil rights, faith was our anchor. It gave purpose, built communities, and transformed despair into action. Liberation is as much spiritual as it is political.
